A Retreat Day for the Parish
What an excellent start to our parish renewal process.! Fifty one of us took part in what was a very peaceful, reflective, communal and prayerful day. We were led by Mrs Veronica Murphy of our Archdiocesan Pastoral Formation Dept. and we focussed upon the Raising of Lazarus from John’s Gospel. Maybe the climax was the discussion around the actual return of Lazarus and the demand of Jesus “Unbind him. Let him go free”.
There are obvious challenges to each of us. What binds us? What is preventing our parish from really reflecting the presence of God? What must be unbound?

The Journey to Faith starts every Tuesday, at 7.00 p.m. In St Bernard’s. While these sessions are primarily for people seeking Baptism, first Communion or Confirmation, anyone who seeks to deepen their Faith and their understanding of their Faith is welcome to come.
Our Justice and Peace Group is very active and we are concerned to help encourage our parishioners to get involved in justice issues. While our primary interest over the last few sessions has been the Holy Land, and the sufferings of Palestinian people, with special interest in Palestinian Christians, we are concerned to embrace all issues demanding justice.
We meet monthly at St Bernard’s normally on Thursdays, at 7.30 p.m.
